This advent calendar for pregnant women is a book you fill, not a box of little gifts. Every one of the 24 Days has the same four pages: an opener with the day's title, a second short page to read, a five-minute ritual card, and a keepsake page with one line to your baby.

How the 24 Days work

Open one day each evening, in order. It does not matter how far along you are, eight weeks or thirty-eight, and if you miss a night you pick it up on the next one.

  1. Read two short pages

Each evening opens on a numbered day with a title that names what a tired evening really feels like: Midnight Has No Answers, Fear Says It Loves You, You Do Not Have to Glow. Two warm, plain pages, written for a tired woman on purpose.

The top of page 15: the Day 2 tile, the title You Do Not Have to Glow, and the opening paragraph with its drop cap

  2. Do one five-minute ritual

A small card with three steps you can do sitting down. Some nights it is a slow breath out, some nights the phone goes in another room, some nights it is feet up for five minutes. Every card ends with the same care line: if your baby moves less than usual, call your midwife or doctor.

  3. Write one line to your baby

The keepsake page gives you a prompt, eleven optional lines for the nights you have more to say, and one line marked for your baby. It works like a letters to my baby journal that only asks for one line a night, which is why it gets finished.

On Christmas Eve, the lines become a letter

On Day 24 you read your twenty-four lines back in order and copy the ones you want your baby to keep onto The Letter, leaving out whatever was only for you. Sign it, date it, and one day it is the first page you hand over.

Your own before and after

The same four questions open and close the book: what your body feels like tonight in three words, what you are most afraid of and how big it is, one thing you have stopped apologizing for, and what you want to say to your baby first. You answer them on the Before Day One page and again after Day 24, then read the two side by side. That is what makes it a pregnancy keepsake journal without the pressure of a blank one.

Who it is for

  • You are a first time mom to be, or you have been here before, and you want something for the evenings that is not another checklist.
  • You are pregnant this December and want the countdown to Christmas to hold something of your own.
  • You like to think on paper, a few lines at a time.
  • You want a keepsake for your baby that does not need a craft table or a perfect week.
  • You are buying it for her: a wife, a daughter, a sister or a friend who is expecting.

Who it is not for

  • You want medical guidance, week-by-week development facts or a birth plan. This book offers encouragement and reflection; questions about your pregnancy belong to your midwife or doctor.
  • You want a box with 24 little gifts to open. This is a book you write in.
  • You want a baby memory book for after the birth. This one is for the waiting.

This book offers encouragement and reflection, not medical advice. If anything about your pregnancy worries you, call your midwife or doctor rather than reading. If a low feeling has stayed for weeks rather than evenings, say it out loud at your next appointment, or sooner. In the US you can call or text 988 at any time, or call the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline at 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262).

A Christmas gift for a pregnant woman

About her, not the nursery.

If you are browsing Christmas gifts for pregnant women, this one is ready to give: it opens on a gift page with three lines, From, To and Because. Fill them in before you wrap it, and it reads as a present from the very first page.

From her partner, as a Christmas gift for a pregnant wife. From her mother, for a daughter or a daughter in law. From a sister or a best friend, for a first time mom to be.

Give it before December 1 so Day 1 can be that evening. If it arrives later, nothing is lost: she does not have to start in December, and any evening can be her Day 1.

How far along she is does not matter: the book works at eight weeks or at thirty-eight.

Stuck on the Because line? Three that work:

  • Because you keep asking everyone else how they are.
  • Because this December is the last one before everything changes, and some of it should be yours.
  • Because one day you will want to read this back.

A gentle note for givers: the book assumes very little about her situation, and any page that does not fit can simply be skipped.

If the book was useful, a short honest review helps another woman find it. If it was not, I would rather hear that too. I read them.Olivia

About Olivia K. Renner

Olivia K. Renner writes guided journals and keepsake books for people in the middle of something large. Her Advent titles are built for one quiet evening at a time: a few warm pages to read, one small thing to do, and a line worth keeping, so a whole December ends up saved in one book. She believes most advice would be better five minutes shorter, and she lives with a cat who leaves the room when she talks to herself.

Questions about this pregnancy advent calendar

What is a pregnancy advent calendar?

A pregnancy advent calendar is a countdown to Christmas made for a woman who is expecting. Becoming the Best Mom Ever! Advent Calendar for the Mom to Be is one in book form: 24 Days from December 1 to Christmas Eve, each with two short pages to read, a five-minute ritual and one line to write to the baby. On Day 24 those lines become a letter she keeps.

Is this the Best Mom advent calendar from TikTok?

Yes. Becoming the Best Mom Ever! Advent Calendar for the Mom to Be by Olivia K. Renner is the book with the pink cover shown in the TikTok videos. It is a 120-page paperback, and the buttons on this page go straight to it on Amazon.

Where can I buy Becoming the Best Mom Ever! Advent Calendar for the Mom to Be?

It is sold on Amazon as a 120-page paperback (ISBN 979-8175638388). The Get it on Amazon buttons on this page open it directly, and you can ship it to your own address or straight to hers.

What is a good Christmas gift for a pregnant woman?

A good Christmas gift for a pregnant woman is one that is about her, not only the baby: something small she can use on tired evenings and keep afterwards. This book gives her 24 quiet evenings in December and ends in a letter to her baby, so it sits well next to first time mom gifts that are all for the nursery. It opens with a gift page where you write From, To and Because.

When should I give it, and does she have to start on December 1?

Give it before December 1 if you can, so Day 1 can be that evening. She does not have to start in December, though. Any evening can be Day 1, and if she misses a night she picks it up on the next one.

Does it matter how far along she is?

No. There is no correct month or week of pregnancy to begin; the book works at eight weeks or at thirty-eight. It does not assume a due date, a stage or a particular situation.

Is it only for first time moms?

No. It is written with a first pregnancy in mind, but it assumes very little: not who is in the house, not whether this was planned, and not whether she has been pregnant before. Any page that does not fit can be skipped.

Is this medical advice?

No. The book offers encouragement and reflection, not medical advice, and it has no diet rules or week-by-week charts. Questions about pregnancy belong to a midwife or doctor, and every ritual card carries the same care line: if the baby moves less than usual, call the midwife or doctor that night.

What is in the free Keepsake Kit?

The Keepsake Kit is four free printable PDFs: ruled letter sheets for the Day 24 letter with a small card for a baby book, the 24 rituals set out one to a page for her phone, three spare keepsake pages, and a second Before Day One sheet. There is nothing to join. The QR code and the short link are on page 116, and the button on this page opens the same folder.

Is there a Kindle or audiobook edition?

Not at the moment. It is a paperback, because the keepsake pages and The Letter are made to be written in by hand.
