Kalderno is not accepting unsolicited manuscripts at this time. We are a small house with a deliberately small list, and we would rather say so plainly than let manuscripts sit unread.
What we publish
So that this page is still useful: Kalderno publishes across five lines. Activity books, game books and picture books for children (Kalderno Kids), first books for the very youngest (Kalderno Toddler), warm and practical self-help titles and guided journals (Kalderno Self-Help), puzzle-driven mystery case files (Kalderno Mystery), and gentle, ecumenical Bible study and devotional workbooks (Kalderno Faith). We publish in German and English.
What we do not publish: poetry, academic works, memoir, political commentary and books that require a platform their author does not yet have.
Agented enquiries
Literary agents whose projects clearly fit the programme above may query by email at kontakt@kalderno.com with the subject line "Agented submission". Please send a query letter and a short sample first, never a full manuscript. We reply to agented queries even when the answer is no.
When general submissions reopen, this page will say so.
